  • Chicken (500gms)
  • Curd (250gms)
  • Cream
  • Cashew paste
  • Garlic paste (4tbsp)
  • Ginger paste (4tbsp)
  • Onion paste (5, 6)
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Oil
  • Cumin powder (2tbsp)
  • Coriander powder (2tbsp)
  • Red chilly powder (2tbsp)
  • Chilly flakes (1tbsp)
  • Kasuri methi
  • Corriander (for garnishing)

In a bowl add 250gms of curd and then start adding the 2tbsp of cumin powder, 2tbsp of coriander powder, 2tbsp of ginger-garlic paste, 4tbsp of cashew paste, salt, sugar, 4tbsp of onion paste, add pepper and chilly flakes and mix it well. Then add the chicken pieces to it and add 2tbsp of mustard oil and again mix well. And leave it for atleast 30mins.

In a separate pan, add 4tbsp of oil and allow it to heat and then start adding the rest of the ginger -garlic paste, onion paste and stir it well. Then add the marinated chicken to it, add salt and cook it in a medium flame for atleast 15mins till the time the chicken gets soft and tender. You can see the chicken will start shedding water. So, cover the lid and allow the chicken to cook for another 5-10mins. Now after 10mins, open the lid and stir it well and if you notice that the chicken is dry then you can add a little bit of water to it and mix well. Now add a bit of sugar, pepper, and the 3 to 4tbsp of cream and mix it properly and turn off the flame. To enhance the flavour, add kasuri methi and coriander and serve it hot with roti or paratha.
